At Aptar, we think of how we drive sustainability across every area of our organization as more than “efforts.” In fact, we embrace them as opportunities to create a better world every day–both working on our own and in collaboration with our strategic partners, customers and others.

Every year since 2013, we have released a Corporate Sustainability Report based on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards: Core Options. These reports provide a summary of how we bring sustainability to life and highlight improvements and activities that took place across our global portfolio.

Circular Economy Contributions

We believe that the packaging industry must move beyond the make/use/dispose behaviors of yesterday and actively work toward, and advocate for, a circular economy. We are working to understand the current landscape within the packaging sector related to circular principles and look to use these principles during our innovation process. Collaboration is essential, and we work with partners, suppliers and customers who share our vision for a more circular economy.

Eco-Efficient Operations

Our operational eco-efficiency initiatives help reduce the negative impacts of our operations on the environment and in the communities in which we operate. We focus on minimizing waste disposed in landfills, increasingly procuring renewable energy sources, and reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions as we strive to reach net-zero.
