Diagnostic Stopper Advantages

  • Perfectly Designed for Diagnostic Products
  • Optimal Compatibility and Protection
  • Perfectly Designed for Lyophilization Processes
  • Optimal Protection of the Lyocake

Our Diagnostic Stoppers are appropriate for DIN vials

Aptar Pharma’s range of Diagnostic Stoppers are appropriate for a wide range of DIN vials and have been specifically designed to answer the demanding requirements for Diagnostic applications including the lyophilization process.

Our range of Diagnostic Stoppers are adapted for both powder and liquid applications.

Optimal compatibility and protection for Diagnostic applications

Our Diagnostic Stoppers offer good chemical inertness, low extractable profile, non-cytotoxicity and low permeability ensuring maximum drug compatibility and protection throughout product life.

State-of-the-art design and low temperature resistance

The freeze-drying process is a very specific one. Our Diagnostic Stoppers have been developed to meet the demanding requirements of the lyophilisation process: ease of pre-positioning of the stoppers on the vials, resistance to very low temperatures during the freezing phase, impermeability to facilitate the drying processes, specific shapes to allow smooth closing of the vials, avoiding pop-off issues, and spacers to reduce the risk of sticking to the upper shelf after closing of the vials.

Low permeability and low level of residual moisture

A product dried to less than 3% of residual moisture will absorb moisture when exposed to an environment with greater moisture than its own level. The stability could then be compromised. Our Diagnostic Stoppers for powder formulations have been developed to guarantee a very low level of moisture, therefore offering protection of the lyophilized product throughout its shelf life.
