Aptar Pharma's Scientific Service offers support to all internal stakeholders, from quality management to production, R&D to purchasing, marketing to regulatory affairs as well as to our suppliers and to you.
Scientific Service is equipped with many analytic methods for material and polymer analysis (FTIR, DSC, AAS, wet chemical methods). For microscopic analysis, appropriate equipment is available, from the optical microscope with polarization (microtom cut) to scanning electron microscope (SEM) with EDX.
For characterization of customer products with our pump systems, it is possible to analyze density, viscosity, surface tension and droplet size distribution of the atomized products. Methods like measuring of the actuation force combined with pressure and tightness testing and high speed camera documentation at the same time complement the support.
Material evaluation and risk management for products are performed. Laser transmission welding allows welding of plastic parts and labeling tests under production conditions.
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Mold Flow Analysis are common tools used for the development of components for our dispensing systems and optimization (failure) analysis.
